Prix Pierre Cardin en musique de l'Académie des beaux-arts
Luis Quintana was attributed the Pierre Cardin prize in music composition for the year 2022 from the Fine Arts Academy in France.
Pierre Cardin (1922-2020), late member of the Academy, wished to encourage artists by creating in 1993 five annual prizes awarded to a painter, a sculptor, an architect, an engraver and a composer on the proposal of each of the relevant sections of the Academy. This support is perpetuated today thanks to his nephew Rodrigo Basilicati-Cardin.

Winner of BNMI's 10th Annual Commissioning Competition
The piece Débris d'Instant furtifs (for bass clarinet, viola and percussion) was awarded the the commission prize from the Boston New Music Initiative. Following this announcement, Luis will be writing a piece to be premiered in 2023.

Transient Canvas Composition Fellow
Luis Quintana was selected as a fellow to write a piece for the Transient Canvas duo.
This fellowship is made possible in part thanks to the generous support of Jonathan Aibel and Julie Rohwein, as well as grants from The Alice M Ditson Fund and the Boston Cultural Council, Administered by the Mayor’s office of Arts and Culture.

Winner of the 1900+ Call for Scores
1900+ and 2000+ are World Piano Music Concert Series of the 20th Century and Contemporary Music. Both series were initiated by Hayk Melikyan aiming to present the modern culture of different nations in Yerevan.

Grand Prize at the Ise-Shima International Composition Competition
The piece Smudges Over Dripping Ink was awarded the grand prize at the first Ise-Shima International Composition Competition (2021) hosted by the Ise-Shima Art Committee in Japan.

During the 2021 Salvatore Martirano Memorial Competition Award, Luis Quintana was awarded the first prize for his piece Smudges Over Dripping Ink. This competition is held annually by the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, USA.
